Inverell Vet Clinic is equipped with state of the art monitoring equipment. This equipment allows our experienced nursing team to
monitor parameters such as heart rate, respirations rate, oxygen saturation, carbon dioxide concentration, temperature and blood pressure.
Anaesthesia is induced via an injection of an anaesthetic drug into the vein on your pets forearm. After this is administered they are maintained on gaseous anaesthetic. This is achieved by introducing an endotracheal tube (a tube goes down your pets windpipe and is hooked up to the anaesthetic machine) and maintaining the levels of oxygen and anaesthetic into the patient.
